We all who want better skin but skip a critical step in our skin care routine - exfoliation. We either lack the knowledge or the energy at the end of the day to exfoliate our skin. Isn’t it enough to just wash off our makeup?
Exfoliation is actually a very important step in attaining good skin. And here are a few reason why.
1. Refine the texture and tone of the skin.
Exfoliation removes the dead skin on the surface and evens the texture for smoother, softer, more even-toned skin.
2. Helps clear skin and reduce breakouts.
Exfoliation clears build up in the pores which can minimize breakouts. Skin with active breakouts or acne, needs to avoid physical scrubs. However, you can still exfoliate with topical actives that help slough off the dead skin build up.
3. Improve penetration of skincare products.
Removing the buildup of dead skin cells allows the products you are using to penetrate more evenly and deeply.
4. Anti-aging benefits.
If those reasons aren’t good enough - there’s always the anti-aging aspect. Enhancing the tone, texture and clarity of our skin will reveal younger, healthier looking skin.
What can we offer you?
1. Physical exfoliants, also known as scrubs.
These are products that have physical particles to exfoliate the skin. Bernard Cassiere has two physical scrubs your esthetician can recommend depending on your skin. Micro-peeling and the Cocoa Beans Peeling.
Micro-peeling - With its soft cleaning base and superfine, polishing micro-granules, it refines the skin and eliminates dead cells, leaving the skin smooth and refined.
Cocoa Beans Peeling - This scrub is rich in cocoa bean powder that has been finely calibrated for a soft exfoliation and designed to rejuvenate the skin, making it smooth and radiant. Cocoa extract, rich in anti-free radical and antioxidant polyphenols, and cocoa butter were added to help your skin regain comfort and youthful appearance. Sweet almond oil has been selected to nourish and soften the skin.
2. Chemical exfoliants rely on enzymes or acids to eliminate dead skin cells. Chemical exfoliants may sound intense but they can actually be gentle enough for use on the most sensitive of skin. These exfoliants rely on fruit enzymes and acids, such as glycolic (AHA) or salicylic (BHA) to slough off the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Bernard Cassiere has the Deep Pore Cleanser, Bilberry Peeling (for sensitive skin), Purity Clarifying Mask (2 in 1).
Deep Pore Cleanser - With its creamy and foaming texture, the soft cleanser gently eliminates all impurities and make up without drying out the skin. It contains cornflower aromatics that provide astringent and softening properties. Designed for daily use, morning and evening.
Bilberry Peeling - This Bilberry gentle peeling softly removes impurities and dead cells without granules leaving the skin clean, fresh and comfortable. This creamy peeling offers all skin types, even sensitive skins, a radiant complexion without irritation thanks to a mild enzymatic complex and White tea extract. An extract of Nordic berry also provides soothing and comforting properties.
Purity Clarifying Mask - This 2 in 1 product both exfoliates and purifies at the same time… deep cleansing the skin and reducing excess sebum while healing imperfections.
For a maximum efficiency, Bernard Cassière has integrated in this formula a cocktail of purifying active ingredients Chilean wild mint – Lemon*, Java tea**, a complex of white clay (kaolin) and antibacterial agents (zinc-titanium oxides) for their purifying and absorbent properties. AHA’s and BHA’s have also been added for a gentle exfoliation and an instantaneous “new skin effect”!
